Hindus Muslims come together

Photo: For Holi, Hindus and Muslims come together in UP
*************************
Lucknow, March 27 : For a state that saw 34 small and big communal riots in the last one year, Hindus and Muslims came together in this Uttar Pradesh capital Wednesday to celebrate Holi.
The octagenarian Mohd Ahmad Khan, residing in Lucknow’s old city, is a glaring example of how religion holds no bar for celebrating the happiness and traditions of others.
Khan not only partakes in the Holi festivities as the head of the Aminabad Holi Mahotsava Sangh but also lights up the traditional Holika or holy fire in Aminabad, a busy thoroughfare in the capital.
Talking to IANS, the ageing Khan recalled how this tradition of a Holi “celebrated by all” came into being at the start of the 20th century, thanks mainly to his freedom fighter father Basheer Khan.
Khan senior asked the traders and his neighbours to enjoy the festival in the spirit of communal harmony.
Ever since, Khan junior says, generations of people in the locality have played Holi together.
Adding to the festivities is the ‘flower decoration’ competition that began in 1978 and has since become a craze for youngsters.
Dinesh Ahuja, one of the organisers of the competition, told IANS that not only was it a symbol of love and affection for every one’s traditions, it also “made the society close knit in today’s testing times”.
Omar, a middle-aged trader at Akbari Gate, is equally ecstatic about the festival of colours.
His participation, his friends say, is unparalleled. He not only enjoys the festival “to the hilt” but also showers everyone passing through the historic gate with water, colour and flower petals.
At the ‘holi mandap’ in front of the Haji Baraji mosque in Udaiganj, Muslim pontiffs also take part in Holi festival.
“This has been our way of playing Holi for years,” says Syed Abbas, a resident.
Some people of the area distribute ‘sharbat’ to Holi revellers. Others play Shehnai on the occasion, he says.
In other parts of the state capital too Holi reminisced of old times.
The Khatu Shyam temple on the banks of the river Gomti near New Hyderabad Wednesday staged a ‘tesu ke phool ki holi’ where people only used dry colour and flowers to smear each other.
In Bareilly, a Ram Leela is held every Holi.
“This is one of the strange things to happen on Holi. What is heartening is that many people from other religions also participate in the celebrations,” said Sanjay Sharma, a resident.
India is celebreting holi festival
Happy holi happy holi

India needs food not Ram Setu

Qab

Hindu extremists demand for Ram Setu  the land bridge that connects India to Sri Lanka! Please see the present situation in India. Does the Ram Setu is very essential and important for India? What are the role of Ram Setu? Are they interested about about India ? Who are they? What they want to do ?Are they really love India?

India is one of the poorest countries in the world. The poverty in India isn't just psycological poverty. The poverty in India isn't just emotional poverty. The poverty in India isn't just social poverty. The poverty in India isn't just religious and cultural poverty. The poverty in India is an absolute poverty. The poverty in India involves poverty in every aspect of life.

India is a very poor country and we all know that. However, not so many of us knew how extreme the poverty level was in India. Now it is very clear how extreme the poverty level is in India today. Now it is very clear how poor some Indians are. Now it is very clear how people continue to die from absolute poverty and hunger in India despite numerous efforts to help fight poverty in the world.

A new multidimensional poverty Index shows that India is far poorer than Africa in both intensity and in number.
The Multidimensional Poverty Index developed by Oxford University (which will appear in the upcoming UNDP human development report) shows that India is far poorer than Africa not just in number but also in intensity.
The new poverty measure shows that 8 states out of the 29 states in India have more poor people than 26 poorest African countries combined.
The Multidimensional poverty index views poverty from several different angles instead of just GDP figures.

India like any other developing country is crippled by so many problems. For example, India's population growth rate is increasing by the day putting pressure on the limited resources and leaving many Indians in absolute poverty.

India is very poor in terms of education, in terms of economic improvement, infrastructure, health care, etc. Here are some of the problems facing India today. In today's India, there is nothing but:
What we see dirty politics, corruption and communal politics by our great politics and Indian National party especially communal politics by BJP, RSS and others. What a magic!

Letter to Hon'ble Defence Minister of India and Hon'ble CM of Karnataka

                                                                                                     March 7, 2013
To

1. The Hon'ble Defence Minister oflndia,
Shri A.K. Antony,
9, Krishna Menon Marg,
New Delhi.

2. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka,
Bangalore.

Dear Sir,

Re: Aijaz Ahmed Mirza

It has come to my knowledge that one Aijaz Ahmed Mirza, a D.R.D.O. scientist of
Bangalore, was sacked on the ground that he was implicated in the Hyderabad bomb blast case. lt was reported recently in the media that no evidence has been found against him by the N.I.A. which has declined to file a charge sheet against him.

I would request to you look into this matter immediately, and if it is true that
there is no evidence against Aijaz Ahmed Mirza, he should be reinstated forthwith on the post he was holding before he was sacked, otherwise a wrong message will be sent throughout the country that Muslims are terrorists and are fair game for being persecuted and victimized by the communal forces.

ln my Press Note issued yesterday I had strongly criticized the false implication of
a large number of Muslims in bomb blast and other terrorist attack cases.

Aijaz Ahmed was kept in jail for six months, and according to his TV interview by
Rajdeep Sardesai on CNN- IBN channel he was tortured and made to suffer all kinds of indignities in jail. Hence l request you ensure that apart from reinstating him, adequate compensation is awarded to him by the Central/State Government and an open apology is issued by the Central/State Government to Aijaz Ahmed.

All this should be done at the earliest, otherwise the secular foundation of our
country as provided for in our Constitution shall be shaken to the core.

With regards,

  Yours sincerely,
