AAP CAN ONLY FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION AND COMMUNAL POLITICS

India is a secular and democratic country. Here many caste and communities live together from many centuries. we are proud  of our communal harmony. India is the great. we love our India. but communal politics do not like communal harmony  because it does not suit them.  In India there are many political parties like Congress,BJP, Left front and some others regional parties., BIP, ,Shivsena and others some fundamentalist organisation like RSS, Bajrang are directly involved in communal politics. others political parities like Congress,CPM  and others some political parties are not directly involved in communal politics but no serious activities against communal politics. it is very unfortunate and a great challenged to us that communal feeling and activities are increasing day by day in  India.

India is one of the poorest countries in the world. The  POVERTY in India isn't just psycological poverty. The poverty in India isn't just emotional poverty. The poverty in India isn't just social poverty. The poverty in India isn't just religious and cultural poverty. The poverty in India is an absolute poverty. The poverty in India involves poverty in every aspect of life.India is a country  with many problems. many peoples are living here below poverty line (BPL), problems with health, education, pure drinking water ,unemployment are the major and others many problems.  Maoist and others terrorist groups activities are increasing recently in  India.but political parties are not interested about the problems and they are really blind about it ! what they do here? only want power and corruption any way are the main criteria of our great politics in  India! most of politics would like it. nothing can be expected from them. what they can do for our country ! they always trying to spread propaganda and confusion among the peoples only for their interest. they are not interest about public interest.they always work only for their interest.
India is very poor in terms of education, in terms of economic improvement, infrastructure, health care, etc. Here are some of the problems facing India today. In today's India, there is nothing but
What we see dirty politics, corruption and  Communal . politics by our great politics and Indian National party especially communal politics by BJP, RSS and others. What a magic!
India against corruption! Its really good for India. Recently we see the movements against corruption by Anna and Kejriwal. Well for India and also peoples of India! But CORRUPTION  free society are .myth or reality?
communal politics are the great problems and  challenged for Indian democracy and secularism. We can easily see the result of communal politics.
Many communal riots had been  launched in India and many innocent common Muslims have been killed regularly. Many Mosquitoes have been destroyed here by BJP and RSS ,communal party in India.
The 2002 riots in Gujarat and 2012 riots in Assam are very pathetic and unfortunate.
The2002 Gujarat riots:  Massacre in which over 2000 Muslim men, women and children were killed by organized mobs of the Hindu right wing under the protection of the Chief Minister (CM) of the Indian State of Gujarat,  Narendra modi . Over 100,000 Muslims were displaced from their homes as a result of this pogrom. The attacks, massacres, rapes and displacement were extensively covered in the international media. Scathing reports from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International as well as the Indian human rights organizations pointed out that the massacres and gang-rapes were coordinated, organized, and sanctioned
The AIMMM takes note of Janvikas report which says that out of the 200,000 Muslims displaced during the 2002 pogroms, 16,000 are still languishing in 83 refugee camps across the state. This is a matter of shame for the state of Gujarat and Central government. The AIMMM sincerely believes that the scars of 2002 will never be healed unless and until the state government and its head show remorse, apologise for their acts of omission and commission, make good the losses suffered by Muslims during those pogroms and make it possible for them to move back to their homes, lands and businesses in dignity. Unless and until this takes place, any talk of MODI: becoming prime minister of India is a cruel joke which will lower the status and dignity of India in the eyes of the international community.
We feel very sad  about the present situation about the riots in  ASSAM, , India. Many peoples are suffering a lot due to unsafe and their life are under in danger. specially minorities Muslims are mostly affected.
the government says the violence, in which 75 people have been killed and more than 400,000 displaced, most of them was Muslims.
Congress and BJP both are  communal and corrupted. Only a new hope AAP (Amm Admi Party) can save India from corruption and communal politics.

M.S. Golwalkar: Conceptualizing Hindutva Fascism

by Ram Puniyani

Beginning this twenty Fourth February, RSS combine has undertaken programs
in different parts of the country to celebrate the centenary year of RSS
second Sarsnghchalak (supreme dictator), Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar, known in
Sangh circles as Shri Guruji. What are going to be the implications of this
celebration? To answer this, we will have to delve into the work of
Golwlakar, who penned a small book, 'We or our Nationhood Defined' (We…),
which gives an outline of his ideology and later his articles were published
as a compilation, 'Bunch of Thoughts'. In both these books and also in
various other outpourings of his, he denigrates democracy and pluralism on
one hand and upholds fascist concept of nationhood and sectarian version of
culture on the other. His writing is most intimidating to the minorities in
particular. He was the chief of RSS for 33 long years and was instrumental
in giving RSS a direction, which assumed menacing proportions in times to
come, and strengthening the foundations of the 'hate minorities' ideology
resulting in the consequent waves of violence, undermining the democratic
norms in the society. He can also be 'credited' with giving the sharp
formulations which laid the ideological foundation of different carnages in
the country.

Golwalkar praises Lord Manu as the greatest law giver mankind ever had. It
was the same law giver Manu's book, which was burnt by Dr. Ambedkar in his
pursuit of getting justice for the dalits. In current times, Golwalkars'
successor also demanded a throwing away of Indian constitution, to be
replaced by the one which is based on Hindu holy books, implying Manusmriti,
of course.

His formulations of Hindutva Fascism are so blatant that even his followers,
the RSS combine, is running for cover and claiming that this book, having a
naked hatred for minorities and eulogies for the likes of Hitler, We…, was
not written by him. They avoid owning these ideas. But one knows that this
book *was* penned by him. In an affidavit submitted to the charity
commissioner, Rajendra Singh, a later Sarsanghchalak pleaded, "With a view
to give a scientific base to propagate the idea-India being historically
from time immemorial a Hindu nation-the late Shri M.S. Golwalkar had written
a book entitled 'We or Our Nationhood defined', which was published in
1938." (Quoted in Islam, Undoing India: The RSS way) J.A. Curran in his
classic study, RSS: Militant Hinduism in India Politics- A study of RSS:
points out "The genuine ideology of Sangh is based upon principles
formulated by its founder, Dr. Hedgewar. These principles have been
consolidated and amplified by the present leader (i.e. Golwalkar) in a small
book called "We or our nationhood defined". It is a basic primer in the
indoctrination of Sangh volunteers… (Curran 1979, p.39). Since its
quotations have been brought to the notice of people, RSS publishing houses
have stopped republishing this book. What does Golwalkar say in this book?

In this book he rejects the notions of Indian nationhood, India as a Nation
in the making. He rejects the idea that all the citizens will be equal. He
goes on to harp the notions of nationhood borrowed from Hitler's Nazi
movement. He rejects that India is a secular nation and posits that it is a
Hindu Rashtra. He rejects the territorial-political concept of nationhood
and puts forward the concept of cultural nationalism, which was the
foundation of Nazi ideology. His admiration of Hitler's ideology and
politics is the running thread of the book and he takes inspiration from the
massive holocaust which decimated millions of people in Germany. He uses
this as a shield to propagate his political ideology. It is this ideology
which formed the base of communal common sense amongst a section of the
population. "German national pride has now become the topic of the day. To
keep up purity of the nation and its culture, Germany shocked the world by
her purging the country of the Semitic races, the Jews. National pride at
its highest has been manifested here. Germany has also shown how well-nigh
impossible it is for races and cultures having differences going to the
root, to be assimilated into a united whole, a good lesson for us in
Hindustan to learn and profit by." (We…, 1938, p.37)

In the Sangh circles this book is regarded as their Gita. The implications
for Indian minorities are presented here in a forthright manner. Today the
swayamsevaks brought up on this Gita, do believe in all this but the
language of expression is being made more polished so that the poison is
coated with honey and administered with ease. Golwalkar goes on to assert,
"From the standpoint sanctioned by the experience of shrewd nations, the
non-Hindu people in Hindustan must either adopt the Hindu culture and
language, must learn to respect and revere Hindu religion, must entertain no
idea but the glorification of Hindu nation i.e. they must not only give up
their attitude of intolerance and ingratitude towards this land and its age
long traditions, but must also cultivate the positive attitude of love and
devotion instead; in one word, they must cease to be foreigners or may stay
in the country wholly subordinated to the Hindu nation, claiming nothing,
deserving no privileges, for less any preferential treatment, not even the
citizen's rights." (Ibid p.52).

When the Hindutva politics came up in the late 1980s, in the beginning an
unsuspecting observer could not comprehend from where has the concept of
Hindu nation come up suddenly, why such an intense hatred for minorities, a
glance at We… and one becomes clear that those fed on this ideology cannot
but be what they are, cannot do anything else than what they did and have
been doing since 1990, the Babri demolition, the anti minority violence and
an open violation of democratic ethos of the country. These ideas were
translated into the stories of atrocities of Muslim kings, the myth of
Hindus owning this land from times immemorial and a lot of such make believe
concoction. Irrespective of the fact the freedom movement rejected this
ideology and its formulations, it was kept alive through the ideological
indoctrination work in the RSS shakhas going on ceaselessly.

Golwalkar was also faced with some of the 'naive' swaymasevaks wishing to
participate in the national movement, more so after the massive Quit India
movement was launched. That time Golwalkar was the RSS chief and he
dissuaded the people from participating in the movement, and some of them
who participated did it in their personal capacity, some of them now claim
that they also participated. (e.g. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was onlooker in
the anti British movement, was arrested but wriggled out of the jail and
later claimed to have participated in the movement.) As matter of fact
Golwalkar was very contemptuous towards the anti British movement. There is
no mention of presence of RSS in the anti British movement even in most of
the sympathetic accounts written about it. Even Nanaji Deshmukh, the
foremost leaders of RSS puts this question, why did RSS not take part in the
liberation struggle as an organization? (Deshmukh, Victim of Slander, Vision
Books, 1979, p.70) Since Golwalkar propounded religion based nationalism,
there was no place for anti British stance. "The theories of territorial
nationalism and of common danger, which formed the basis of our concept of
nation, had deprived us of the positive and inspiring content of our real
Hindu Nationhood and made many of the 'freedom movements' virtually
anti-British movements. Anti Britishism was equated with patriotism and
nationalism. This reactionary view has had disastrous effects upon the
entire course of freedom movement…" (Bunch of thoughts, 1996, p.138). In a
frank defense of British colonialist he reminds the people of RSS pledge,
"We should remember that in our pledge we have talked of freedom of the
country through defending religion and culture. There is no mention of
departure of British in that." (Shri Guruji Samgra Darshan, Vol 4, p. 2)
With allies like this British could merrily pursue their policy of divide
and rule!

No wonder British never repressed RSS. Also the collusion between Religion
based nationalism and colonialism can be understood from such statements.
Later the World saw that in tune with this pro imperialist ideology,
Golwalkar was to support the US aggression on Vietnam and his successor
Sudarshan defended the US aggression against Iraq.

The murder of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by a Hindutva follower
Nathuram Godse not only shocked the whole nation; it led RSS followers to
celebrate this event by distributing sweets. While RSS followers were
celebrating, and the links of Godse with RSS became apparent, RSS was banned
and Golwalkar was arrested. They denied that RSS had any links with Godse.
At that time it was easy to claim so as RSS had no written constitution and
membership lists, enrollment register etc. Godse was RSS Pracharak and later
he joined Hindu Mahasabha and was editing a newspaper, Agrani (leader), the
subtitle of the paper was Hindu Rashtra. In the court he denied any links
with RSS. Later his brother Gopal Godse, who was also an accomplice in the
murder, in an interview given to Times of India (25 Jan 98) stated that his
brother Nathuram spoke a deliberate lie in the court, "The appeasement
policy followed by him (Gandhi) and imposed on all Congress governments'
encouraged the Muslim separatist tendencies that eventually created
Pakistan…Technically and theoretically he (Nathuram) was a member (of RSS),
but he stopped workings for it later. His statement in the court that he had
left the RSS was to protect the RSS workers who would be imprisoned
following the murder. On the understanding that they (RSS workers) would
benefit from his dissociating himself from the RSS, he gladly did it."

In the wake of the murder of Gandhi, RSS was banned and Golwalkar was
jailed, from where he wrote a letter to the Government of India offering to
cooperate with the government in 'dealing with the menace of Communism' in
return for being released from the jail. Incidentally it was also the period
when US was on the witch hunt of communists world over. Today, the
global USagenda of demonization of Islam, and Muslims world over
matches with the RSS agenda, coincidence again? Is this running parallel in the matching agenda US and RSS policies a mere coincidence?

For him the notion of Hindu Rashtra remained supreme and he could never
reconcile to the secular values of Indian constitution. Time and over again
he kept on harping on how *UnBharat* the constitution is and how Manu's
rules are more desirable and profound one's. The partition of India and the
consequent tragedy was registered through the Hindutva eyes, "Even to this
day there are many who say, 'now there is no Muslim problem at all. All
those riotous elements who supported Pakistan have gone away once for all.
The remaining Muslims are devoted to our country. After all they have no
other place to go and they are all bound to remain loyal…It would be
suicidal to delude ourselves into believing that they have turned patriot
overnight after the creation of Pakistan. On the contrary, Muslim menace has
increased a hundredfold by the creation of Pakistan, which has become a
springboard for all their future aggressive designs on our country." (Bunch
of Thoughts, Bangalore, 1996, p. 177-78)

The way to look at Indian communities as Hindus and Muslims as uniform
monoliths continues to be exhibited all through. Further he also goes on to
label Muslims, Christians and Communists as internal threats to Hindu
nation. And this is the 'ideological fodder ' of RSS shakhas and its
practical unfoldment is visible in the regular occurrence of attacks against
Muslims and Christians. With collapse of Soviet Union, the venom against
communists has been given a different turn. And in the third category
secularist have also been added up as a threat to Hindu nation.

It was Golwalkar again under whose stewardship the RSS gave birth to other
organizations to play the divisive role in different arenas of social and
political life. He was instrumental in helping bring up Bharatiya Jansangh,
Akhil Bhartiya Vidayarthi Parishad, Bharatiya Majdoor Sangh, Vanvasi Kalyan
Ashram and Vishwa Hindu Parishad, amongst others. The infiltration of RSS
cadres in different wings of state apparatus; army, police, bureaucracy,
judiciary, education and media was another move initiated by Golwalkar, the
effects of which are visible prominently from last two decades.

While secular democratic elements, activists have a long road ahead, we need
to take care that in the already vitiated atmosphere, the communal divide is
not accentuated further by this move of RSS and we put forward the values of
humane plural and democratic society and dispel the ideologies which have
been playing a very divisive role in the society.

Challenge Hindutva and their chums from the Muslim Right, Christian Right etc.! Dont remain Deaf and Dumb to Communal politics

POOR GIRL CHILD EDUCATION

Just like some poor countries in Africa, high illiteracy rates continue to tear India into pieces. Majority of females in India today cannot even read and write which is very sad.

"Illiteracy in India is worse in rural areas and amongst women. Over 50% of Indian women are illiterates."

In other words, more than 50% of females above age 15 in India today cannot even read and write. very similar to countries like Niger in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Indian government has expressed a strong commitment towards education for all; however, India still has one of the lowest female literacy rates in Asia. In 1991, less than 40 percent of the 330 million women aged 7 and over were literate, which means today there are over 200 million illiterate women in India.
This low level of literacy not only has a negative impact on women’s lives but also on their families’ lives and on their country’s economic development. Numerous studies show that illiterate women have generally high levels of maternal mortality, poor nutritional status, low earning potential, and little autonomy within the household. A woman’s lack of education also has a negative impact on the health and well being of her children. For instance, a recent survey in India found that infant mortality was inversely related to mother’s educational level. Additionally, the lack of an educated population can be an impediment to the country’s economic development.
Education of girls and women in general has been a high priority with the Government of India . In the new millennium, India has consolidated its earlier educational reforms with increased resources and stronger policy commitments for achieving elementary education for all children, particularly girls.

Rape, the fastest growing crime in India

New Delhi: According to the latest National Crime Bureau Records, rape today, is India’s fastest growing crime.
The shocking incidents
  • January 1: A Swede girl molested in Kochi.
  • January 8: An American woman molested by a temple priest in Pushkar.
  • January 11: A British tourist raped by an unknown man in Panaji.
The incidents have all taken place in the last 14 days and all the victims have been foreign tourists.
The question that now rises is, can a country that is unable to ensure the safety of its own women provide a safe environment to unsuspecting foreigners?
"Police do not register cases and they do not take enough action. The media is also to blame because the way rape is portrayed it creates a bad impact on people,” says former National Commission for Women, Chairman, Poornima Advani.
And there are stories you have probably just heard of; the rape and murder of a call centre employees in Pune and the alleged rape of a lady doctor in Delhi in 2007.
The latest National Crimes Record Bureau figures tell a shocking tale.
It records 19,348 women being raped in 2006, which is almost 1,000 more than in 2005, making rape a bigger problem than murder, kidnapping and robbery.
The figures
  • 2006: 19,348 cases.
  • 2005: 18,359 cases.
    • Percentage increase since 1953
      • Rape Cases: 678 per cent increase.
      • Murder Cases: 231 per cent increase.
      • Kidnapping Cases: 356 per cent increase.
      • Robbery Cases: 120 [per cent increase.
Rape, today is India's fastest growing crime. The number of rape cases reported in the year 2006 saw an increase by more than 600 per cent since 1971.
Surely, this is not a milestone to boast off in the 60th year of our independence.
So what is the solution to this problem?
"A major reason behind such impulses and excesses is the lack of importance shown towards issues such as gender respect in the education curriculum,” says psychologist, Jitendra Nagpal.
The figure of rape cases will only keep rising if we do not tackle the root cause of the problem inculcating gender respect and creating awareness among people.

PROBLEMS OF WOMEN

today women of India are put forward to various discriminatory practices like sati, dowry, lower literacy levels, higher mortality rates, malnutrition, and domestic violence
many girls don’t even get the freedom to life as they are brutally killed in their mother’s womb.
she experiences many trials and tribulations that leave a deep impact on her life physically, socially, and emotionally.
During childhood she is put to face lack of nutrition, lack of education, and lack of care .
India holds a sad picture of women status in India. The society has to change the way it looks at women and the way it treats women in our country.
We need to change our attitude for women.
Government has to take a strict action against various forms of women issues in India before the essence of life and unconditional love dies from a woman’s heart.

The situation of women in India

In Indian society, women are traditionally discriminated against and excluded from political and family related decisions. Despite the large amount of work women must do on a daily basis to support their families, their opinions are rarely acknowledged and their rights are limited.

From the time they are born, young Indian girls are the victims of discrimination. According to a 2005 report from the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the infant mortality rate among girls is 61% higher than that for boys. This gender inequality is also present in education; only 2/3 of girls between the ages of 6 and 17 are sent to school, compared to 3/4 of boys of the same age. Also, in the countryside, only 46% of women are literate, which is almost one-half the literary rate for men.

Instead of going to school, girls often find themselves forced to work in order to help their families, often from a very young age. Even more worrisome, 25% of women marry before the age of 15 and very often, they marry against their will. This has profound consequences, notably on women’s health and their precarious situation often prevents them from receiving proper health care. For many Indian women, poor treatment, violence and exploitation take place on daily basis.

However, in the last decades, the situation of women in India has greatly improved. An increasing number of Indian women are entering local and national politics and since 2007, the country has been under the rule of a woman, Pratibha Patil. She is the first woman to hold this position since the creation of the Indian Republic in 1950.

Indian society does indeed recognize many women’s rights, including the rights to political involvement, family allowance and set up a business. Nevertheless, in rural areas, poverty and a lack of information represent real barriers to women’s independence and empowerment. Programs aimed at advancing human rights, literacy and microfinance are therefore necessary in order to restore Indian women to the place they deserve and open doors to a better future.

CHILD LABOUR IN INDIA

"Out of school children comprise the workers and non workers. In our view they together signify a measure of deprivation among children and can be considered as a potential labour pool always being at the risk of entering the labour force" - NCEUS, 2007
India is sadly the home to the largest number of child labourers in the world. The census found an increase in the number of child labourers from 11.28 million in 1991 to 12.59 million in 2001. M.V. Foundation in Andhra Pradesh found nearly 400,000 children, mostly girls between seven and 14 years of age, toiling for 14-16 hours a day in cottonseed production across the country of which 90% are employed in Andhra Pradesh.40% of the labour in a precious stone cutting sector is children. NGOs have discovered the use of child labourers in mining industry in Bellary District in Karnataka in spite of a harsh ban on the same. In urban areas there is a high employment of children in the zari and embroidery industry.

Poverty and lack of social security are the main causes of child labour. The increasing gap between the rich and the poor, privatization of basic services and the neo-liberal economic policies are causes major sections of the population out of employment and without basic needs. This adversely affects children more than any other group. Entry of multi-national corporations into industry without proper mechanisms to hold them accountable has lead to the use of child labour. Lack of quality universal education has also contributed to children dropping out of school and entering the labour force. A major concern is that the actual number of child labourers goes un-detected. Laws that are meant to protect children from hazardous labour are ineffective and not implemented correctly.

A growing phenomenon is using children as domestic workers in urban areas. The conditions in which children work is completely unregulated and they are often made to work without food, and very low wages, resembling situations of slavery. There are cases of physical, sexual and emotional abuse of child domestic workers. The argument for domestic work is often that families have placed their children in these homes for care and employment. There has been a recent notification by the Ministry of Labour making child domestic work as well as employment of children in dhabas, tea stalls and restaurants "hazardous" occupations.

According to HAQ: Centre for child rights, child labour is highest among schedules tribes, Muslims, schedule castes and OBC children. The persistence of child labour is due to the inefficiency of the law, administrative system and because it benefits employers who can reduce general wage levels. HAQ argues that distinguishing between hazardous and non hazardous employment is counter-productive to the elimination of child labour. Various growing concerns have pushed children out of school and into employment such as forced displacement due to development projects, Special Economic Zones; loss of jobs of parents in a slowdown, farmers' suicide; armed conflict and high costs of health care. Girl children are often used in domestic labour within their own homes. There is a lack of political will to actually see to the complete ban of child labour.

Bonded child labour is a hidden phenomenon as a majority of them are found in the informal sector. Bonded labour means the employment of a person against a loan or debt or social obligation by the family of the child or the family as a whole. It is a form of slavery. Children who are bonded with their family or inherit a debt from their parents are often found in agricultural sector or assisting their families in brick kilns, and stone quarries. Individual pledging of children is a growing occurrence that usually leads to trafficking of children to urban areas for employment and have children working in small production houses versus factories. Bonded labourers in India are mostly migrant workers, which opens them up to more exploitation. Also they mostly come from low caste groups such as dalits or marginalised tribal groups. Bonded child labourers are at very high risk for physical and sexual abuse and neglect sometimes leading to death. They often are psychologically and mentally disturbed and have not learnt many social skills or survival skills.

In 2000 the ILO estimated 5.5 million children had been forced in labour in Asia, while the Bonded Labour Liberation Front placed 10 million bonded children in India alone. In 1998 the government of India labelled bonded child labour as a marginal problem with only 3000 or so cases. A survey in Tamil Nadu in 1995 found 125,000 bonded child labourers in the state alone. Child bonded labour in India is mostly in the agricultural sector but has in recent times been moving into other sectors as well such as beedi-rolling, brick kilns, carpet weaving, commercial sexual exploitation, construction, fireworks and matches factories, hotels, hybrid cottonseed production, leather, mines, quarries, silk, synthetic gems, etc.

Child labour in India is addressed by the Child Labour Act, 1986 and National Child Labour Project.
