Will Modi become PM

Much has been written about modi . Will Modi become a PM? India is a secular and democratic country. Here everyone has same right  and also enjoy the freedom. Many famous criminal, fundamentalist, communal leaders and murderer also enjoy the freedom  with best as they like.About 2000 Muslims killed in  Gujarat riots:2002  under   supervision by Modi. MODI:  was accused for the riot. But thanks Indian secular and democracy that Modi can be PM :  PM.So why not Modi will not become PM!As India is a SECULAR DEMOCRACY country, So here any Indian citizen may be become a PM. Any Indian criminal, mafia  have also right to become a PM! I think it is very easy for to answer the question. Yes it is the reality of India that criminal, murderer become MP, Ministers and political leaders. It is the magic of Indian politics. Money, muscle power and media are the main criteria to become great and popular political leader and minister.
It is a real picture of India today.

Secularism and Muscular Nationalism in Indi

The B.J.P. was quick to take up the mantle of 'the' communal party, riding on the wave of the post-mandal upper class/caste backlash. The BJP began attacking, what they called "pseudo-secularism", which pampered the minorities at the expense of the majority and demanded that special rights for minorities be taken away
militant Hindu organizations such as the BajrangDal and the Shivsena. These groups quickly mushroomed and poisoned the social space with communal rhetoric and the agenda of Hindu Rashtra; and launched an ideological, social and political onslaught on secular ethos, syncretic culture and composite nationalism. They refused to recognize the contributions of Muslims and other minorities, to India's history and culture.
They selectively concentrated on intolerant Muslim rulers, extending their often-brutal conduct to the entire period of Muslim rule and, even to all Muslims. But such prejudices were not openly aired in public; but now they have not only gained legitimacy, but have also almost become the mainstream opinion.
The year 2002 witnessed one of the most devastating riots in Gujarat where mobs went on a rampage, destroying Muslim homes and businesses, killed Muslims, including men women and children and drove thousands of people away from their homes.
The communal forces are actively propagating the myth that Secularism is a new mask of fundamentalism. They denigrate the secular policies, which are a hindrance to Hindu Right's unobstructed march to subjugate the oppressed in general and minorities in particular
Since Muslims are being thought synonymous to fundamentalism; therefore the assertion that the Indian state is appeasing fundamentalists in the name of secularism.
The fact, however, is that the social and the economic conditions of the Muslim community is dismal.
the govt. policies have been anti-oppressed, rather than pro Muslim. Further, the fact that 130 million Muslims decided to stay back in India rather than joining Pakistan, should settle their status as true citizens.
Secularism introduces science, technology and rationalism in the society and forms the basis of a modern secular state. In the process, it has to oppose and struggle against the clergy and vested forces in the society. And as such, the fundamentalist communal onslaughts are the 'other' of secularism and secularization
There is a blatant attempt to subvert history, change school curricula and create a new set up in line with a Hindu Rastra. There is a new, muscular nationalism, one that holds up the nuclear bomb as a sign of strength and wants to keep neighbours and internal minorities in their place, and which derives its strength from invented mythology; and has taken over the polity. Indian secularism, once thought to be non-negotiable, is beginning to look shaky now. In a country with over 140 million Muslims and million of Christians, to say nothing of hundreds of other castes and communities, this can have very dangerous consequences
This strength of the Hindu religion is now viewed as a weakness. Secularism in the Indian context should imply respect for pluralism and a non-coercive and a voluntary recourse to change. Respect for diversity not only embodies the democratic spirit, it is the real guarantee of unity.

Meet The 64 Cent Poverty Expert!!

the Planning Commission declared that people spending Rs 32 (64 cents) in cities or Rs 26 (52 cents) in the villages can not be considered poor and acknowledged that with this yardstick there are 407.4 million (33%) poor in India.
The 64 Cent Poverty Expert of India!!

the 64 percent poverty expert in India

\

                                      \

It is a proof that Indian politicians and policy makers live totally divorced from the ground reality. Had any one of them ever tried to live on USD 0.64 per day expenditure even in their wildest dreams? It is a cruel joke and mockery of Indian poor who are resigned to be ruled by people who go to Western universities to understand poverty in India! In fact, using any monetary value as poverty line is fraught with dangers of artificiality.

The World Bank uses 1.25 dollars a day as poverty line and the Asian Development Bank puts it at 1.35 dollars. Needless to say each benchmark gives a different estimate of the number of poor. The higher the benchmark is the higher is the proportion of people counted as poor. A 2 dollar a day poverty line benchmark makes almost three-fourth Indians poor. Therefore, such an exercise is nothing but a number game meant for generating arguments and counter-arguments.

Income based poverty lines can tell nothing about different forms of deprivations and sufferings poor go through. Poverty entails a denial of a range of basic material needs such as nutrition, safe drinking water, shelter, healthcare, education, etc. Therefore, poverty must be seen beyond income and composite poverty measures provide better understanding of the nature of poverty – at local, regional, national, and world level.

Unemployment in India

The Chandigarh-based Labour Bureau under the union ministry of labour and employment released the 'Employment and Unemployment Survey 2012' .India's official unemployment rate is 3.8%, with urban unemployment at 5.1% and rural at 3.5%. Unemployment is higher among women  than among men; 6.7% for women as against 2.8% for men.
For urban India, graduate unemployment is 8.2% while unemployment among post-graduates is slightly lower, at 7.7%.
These findings are consistent with those of the National Sample Survey 2009-10 which show that the higher the level of education, the higher the open unemployment.

HINDUTVA POLITICS BY GADKARI (BJP)!

Dawood Ibrahim's IQ level almost same as Swami Vivekananda's: Nitin Gadkari

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) president Nitin Gadkari may have meant well but his remark is bound to raise a few eyebrows. At a meet, while trying to explain that gender discrimination is unfair and that people should be judged only on the basis of their qualities, Gadkari made an unlikely comparison between Swami Vivekananda and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Gadkari said, "As per psychology, if we compare the IQ level of SWAMI VIVEKANANDA and that of Dawood Ibrahim, it could have almost been the same. But Vivekananda used it in nation building, brotherhood and spiritualism while Dawood used that in excelling in the crime world."
While the intentions may have been clear, the statement could stir up a controversy within the party itself that sees Swami Vivekananda as one of its chief inspirations.

What is the role of media in politics in India

India is a SECULAR democratic country. POLITICAL play the key role for development of the country and also play important role for civil society. The media  in politics play vital role in India. Today media is playing biased role in some matter of  reporting.A good media can educate the public to form their own opinion.Today it is very unfortunate that political parties start media for their own interest and utilise it for their narrow interest. It is very sad that election is control by money ,muscle power and media.
Every media should be reporting about public interest to solve the problems of the peoples. A responsible media should be playing an unbiased role in reporting.Media is enjoying the freedom of expression in India.A good responsible media should be reporting about main issues for public interest. The media in India has major role in politics and it can help  to stop Corruption  ,anti -national activities, social injustice  and religious Fascism in effective effective way.Hope for better service by media and better SITUATION   in India.

INDIA NEEDS TO REMOVE THE PROBLEMS TO BECOME A SUPERPOWER

will India become a superpower?

Characteristics

The criteria of a superpower are not clearly defined and as a consequence they may differ between sources.
According to Lyman Miller, "The basic components of superpower stature may be measured along four axes of power: military, economic, political, and cultural (or what political scientist Joseph Nye  has termed  soft power.
In the opinion of Kim Richard Nossal of Queens University , "generally this term was used to signify a political community that occupied a continental-sized landmass, had a sizable population (relative at least to other major powers); a superordinate economic capacity, including ample indigenous supplies of food and natural resources; enjoyed a high degree of non-dependence on international intercourse; and, most importantly, had a well-developed nuclear capacity (eventually normally defined as second-strike capability).
In the opinion of Professor Paul Dukes, "a superpower must be able to conduct a global strategy including the possibility of destroying the world; to command vast economic potential and influence; and to present a universal ideology". Although, "many modifications may be made to this basic definition". According to Professor June Teufel Dreyer, "A superpower must be able to project its power, soft and hard, globally.
